Didn’t plan to visit this pub at first. I actually ended up here by mistake instead of the Railway Hotel. Ordered the Scotch fillet medium rare, and it was well seasoned and flavorful, with the fat nicely seared. It could’ve rested a bit longer, but that’s okay since it came out really fast. The mashed potatoes was so smooth with no lumps, and the staff were all friendly.

First time staying in Gosford Here with Kathy for the Matilda's game. Very highly recommended place to stay. Clean, well-kept rooms, comfortable (king-sized!) bed, great above normal standard pub. It's shared bathrooms here but there were 4 separate and contained bathrooms on our level, exquisitely clean and comfortable with shower products. Lovely staff all round. Thanks Hotel Gosford, will be back.

This has been a local favourite since 1926 and even though I’m new to the coast, I can quickly appreciate why. It’s a beautifully modern pub with an old charm, that does the most gorgeous cocktails and has an impressive new summer menu, executed to perfection. Dishes like the Reuben salad really impressed me because I’ve never seen anything like it, and it gave serious sandwich vibes - and the honey camembert baked into the foccacia crust, dipped in whipped butter 😮‍💨 The ribeye was perfect, and the crab and prawn linguine had the perfect amount of chilli and was generous on the seafood. Honestly a perfect pub experience. They also have Before and After Mondays where you can order any 2 mains for lunch or dinner, and get a complimentary starter, small plate, or dessert 👌🏼 Follow @clareonthecoast 🥂

The experience here was first rate with the chef Ryan making our day with samples of his food - corned beef and pork knuckle given to us to try at home. This is way beyond pub fare, a real treat. Lyndall

Dropped by for a solo meal while my son was at a birthday party. First time going out to eat on my own and I loved it!!! Service was wonderful (so friendly, polite & helpful), location was relaxing and cheerful and the food was great. The bonus was the dressing used on the salad, delicious! Thank you.

Fantastic, consistent food and great staff. Awesome fish and chips, short rib, lamb strap, pork chop - all of it. Personally, I prefer beef smash burgers to the normal chunky style you get here, but they’re still good.

“You get what you pay for” and, in this case, far more than expected. We recently stayed for three nights with our two children and had a fantastic experience. For a two-star hotel, this place seriously overdelivers. Both bedrooms were renovated and comfortable. One had an ensuite for us, the other for the kids the bathroom was shared. Yet the shared bathrooms were stylish and, honestly, felt luxurious. The restaurant has a modern, family-friendly vibe, as does the food, fresh and quality-driven. The location is perfect: central to all the beaches and attractions on the Central Coast. Outstanding value for money, with five-star service from genuinely friendly and attentive staff. We will definitely be staying at “The Goosy” again!

Me and my family had lunch on Sunday and the food was exceptional! There was about 10 of us and we all had something different and everyone loved their meals. The restaurant itself is also lovely and bright and a really nice place to have a meal!

We come to Gosford Hotel for Dinner, every Wednesday. Service is wonderful, matching the food which Is always very good. Menu caters really well for all our dietary needs. - Wednesday night 'Pick a Box' always provides entertainment and laughs. - very good atmosphere and different places to sit , meeting needs. Two long standing staff members we highly recommend for their customer service are Jenna and Keegan.

Fantastic staff, for a 2 star hotel it was great. We stayed in a family room with private bathroom. One of the better bathrooms I've stayed in. Great atmosphere in the bar. Shout out to Murray who couldn't do enough for us, as well as the young man on the bar at 3pm (cap back to front, and need of a feed :) ) The young Asian girl who checked us in was just lovely. Will come again.
